Are you a Klamath or Trinity River Native youth between the ages 16 to 24 years of age? Are you a confident swimmer? The Hupa Family Resource Center will be giving out food boxes to community members who meet the eligibility requirements. Please remember to bring your Photo ID. Food Boxes are available on a first come, first serve basis. Food boxes will be given out curbside only. Visitors MUST wear a Face Covering and follow the 6 ft. Social Distance protocol. Come visit the HFRC outreach booth and learn about what Hupa Family Resource Center offers. They’ll be handing out children's food bags for ages up to 18 years old and they’ll have a Limited amount of Hand sanitizer, hand wipes, hand wash, liquid soap, disposable face masks and Ajax Cleanser as well as Board games and sprinklers. The Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services Outstation at K'ima:w Medical Center is closed for the next two weeks. The dropbox will be checked at least two times a week. Due to the Level 3 Stay at Home Order, K'ima:w Medical Center's Diabetes Department Diabetes Empowerment Education Program or DEEP Classes have been postponed for the time being. Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the valley and in Humboldt County, the HVPUD District Office will temporarily ONLY be open to the public Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed for lunch). K'ima:w Native Connections presents a Trauma Informed Care Conference via Zoom, Friday, August 20th, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. This is a community conference for Tribal members, organizations that work within Hoopa, neighboring Tribes and community members.
