Dislocated Worker Funds

Humboldt County Department of Health And Human Services is offering
through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, emergency dislocated worker funds are available from The Smart Center at the Job Market. Funds can be used for a broad spectrum of supportive services. Currently the funds will expire at the end of September.
Financial assistance may be available if you were laid off due to actual COVID 19 OR are experiencing a reduction in hours and/or pay due to COVID-19 OR are unable to work due to COVID-19 because of ONE of the reasons listed below: You were quarantined.
You were a caregiver for someone who was subject to quarantine
You needed to care for children because of school closures or child-care provider closure.
You were at a high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 or live with someone at high risk.
You were required to telework but lacked the necessary equipment. To Participate in the Supportive Service Program, you must be at least 18 years of age and meet the Covid-19 eligibility requirements mentioned.
