Ocean Life Symposium

ANNOUNCING THE 2ND ANNUAL OCEAN LIFE SYMPOSIUM

10/26-30/2020 9AM-10AM Pacific Time (12:00-1:00 PM Eastern Time) 

A BROADCAST ON KGUA PUBLIC RADIO, SIMULCAST TO YOUTUBE & FACEBOOK LIVE

Gualala, CA The Second Annual Ocean Life Symposium 2020 starts today free of charge via Zoom and simulcast live on KGUA public radio, YouTube, and Facebook 9am-10am Pacific Time (12-1pm Eastern Time) to October 30, 2020, repeating daily on KGUA’s Peggy’s Place from 1pm-2pm Pacific Time (3-4pm Eastern Time).

Topics relating to the status of our oceans and the life forms that inhabit it will be presented by a variety of ocean experts including Orca Network’s Howard Garrett, Aquatic Research Conservancy’s  London Fletcher, The Ocean Foundation’s Richard Charter, Ocean Conservation Research’s Michael Stocker, Humboldt University’s Jeff Jacobson, University of New Hampshire’s Carter Mercer, Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Marianne Long, University of Redlands’ Tessa Foster, Noyo Center for Marine Science’s Sarah Grimes, and Blue Planet Solutions’ Zack Klyver. The last day of the event will be a wrap with Ocean Life Symposium event organizers Scott Mercer and Tree Mercer of Mendonoma Whale and Seal Study. Moderator is Thais Mazur, co-founder of Mendocino Marine Life Advocates. Broadcast producer is KGUA’s Program Director and Host Leigh Anne Lindsey.
