OES: The wearing of Face coverings in public

April 28, 2020 @ 8:00 am - May 31, 2020 @ 5:00 pm

OES: The Wearing of Face Coverings in Public
The Hoopa Valley Tribe requires you on the Reservation to wear Face Coverings whenever in public. Wearing a Face Covering, when combined with physical distancing of at least 6 feet and frequent hand washing, may reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19 when in public and engaged in essential activities and other activities when others are nearby.
A Face Covering means a covering made of cloth, fabric, or other soft or permeable material, without holes, covering only the nose and mouth and surrounding areas of the lower face. Coverings may either be factory-made or handmade and improvised from ordinary household materials. Any mask having a one-way valve may NOT to be used to comply with this requirement. The Valve-type Mask may permit droplet release from the valve, which would put others nearby at risk.
Please wear Face Coverings before you enter any indoor facility, or  any enclosed open space, or while outdoors when the you are unable to maintain a six-foot distance from another person. Face Coverings aren’t required while driving alone, or exclusively with family members, or within your own residence.
For more information on Face Coverings and Tribal Order #2020-3, visit the OES website, hoopaoes.org or call or text 625-8100.
