Public Notice: E. Coli Bacteria Warning

Samples collected by The Hoopa Tribal EPA indicated that Campbell Creek has tested higher than normal for levels of E. Coli bacteria.
Swimming or ingesting of untreated water may have a possible significant health risk. Small children, the elderly and people with compromised immune systems may experience stomach irritation including cramping, diarrhea and vomiting, and in the most severe cases, death.
TEPA advises that recreational contact of this Campbell Creek should be avoided during high levels of bacterial contamination. TEPA will conduct follow up testing. This notice will be removed when levels of bacteria have been shown to be safe.
