Today, December 1 — The Menu: a new food memoir and more
Survival Food: North Woods Stories by a Menominee Cook by Thomas Pecore Weso was posthumously published in November. Through food memories (and recipes), Weso’s memoir give readers a snapshot of growing up on a Wisconsin reservation in the 1960s and 1970s. That’s part of The Menu, our regular feature on Indigenous food and food sovereignty hosted by Andi Murphy.
