You are permitted to Dooryard Debris, Burn Barrels and pile burning. Burn restricted hours are between 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for the remainder of the 2021 Fire Season. This restriction will remain in effect until such time that current and predicted weather patterns allow it to be lifted. Due to the heat and decrease in COVID-19 cases in Hoopa, K'ima:w Medical Center has re-opened the clinic lobby as a waiting area. You need to check in and get screened at the front of the clinic. Pharmacy patients will form a waiting line to the left of the lobby with safe distancing. Patients for the clinic will be escorted by the screener to an appropriate waiting area in the lobby. Hupa Family Resource Center in partnership with Food for People is providing summer food and veggie bags for Youth up to 18 years old. There is a limited supply. You must live on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation. No application is required; however, your parent must provide gender and your age (for reporting purposes) and be willing to pick up food bag on Fridays. Hoopa Valley Tribal Court has partnered with Humboldt County Mediation Services to host Conflict Resolution Training. You must agree to attend the full 3-to-4-day training, or agree to pay the associated training fees. The Kimaw Dental Clinic Lobby is now open to patients who would like to wait inside. You will need to come to the front door and ring the doorbell to check in and be screened by the front desk staff. The Hoopa Tribal After School-Program offers swimming lessons for children ages 5 to 12 at the N.F. Swimming Pool. There are different level classes and always new things to learn.
