The Hoopa Fire Department has suspended Dooryard Trash Burning, effective until further notice. No new burning permits will be issued. This means no burn barrel or pile burning until the restriction is formally cancelled. Within Hoopa, Smokehouses are still allowed. Campfires and barbeques are also allowed, with a Campfire Permit. Dream Quest will be having their 2020 Free Summer Lunch Program, Thursdays from Noon to 5:00 pm this Summer at Dream Quest in Willow Creek. Families will be able to pick up a box of food each week. Humboldt County Department of Health And Human Services is offering through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, emergency dislocated worker funds are available from The Smart Center at the Job Market. Emergency Walk-in Guidelines include Visible swelling and Severe Pain. You will be screened for symptoms. Your temperature will be taken outside. Meals are for students enrolled in a KTJUSD school. Food will be delivered Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. Curb side pick up is also available at Trinity Valley Elementary School, Hoopa Valley Elementary School and Orleans Elementary School from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
