Fish War Documentary

The documentary “Fish War” follows the Northwest Treaty Tribes’ fight to exercise their fishing rights. A landmark court case in 1974 would affirm the tribes’ treaty rights and establish them as co-managers of the resource, but the fate of salmon in the Pacific Northwest still hangs in the balance.
“Fish War” was an official selection at the Seattle International Film Festival, the Tacoma Film Festival and the Vancouver Film Festival in 2024. Today you are welcome to view this important documentary 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Hoopa Trading Post. Presented by Building Lives by Building Structures, a Hoopa Non-Profit.
