American Rescue Plan Funds Distribution

The Hoopa Valley Tribe received roughly $18 million from the American Rescue Plan Act. 50% of the American Rescue Plan funds will be disbursed to the Hoopa Tribal Membership, to assist with the negative economic impacts of COVID-19.
These payments will be distributed in two separate payments. Each adult will receive two separate payments of $1,500 for a total of $3,000 each. Minors will receive two payments of roughly $700 for a total of approximately $1,400 each.
To receive the economic distribution payment, tribal members must complete and submit an intake form, available on the Tribal website at hoopa-nsn.gov. These forms will also be mailed to all Tribal Members, and are available at the Tribal Offices.
The first payment is anticipated to go out during the week of July 12th, for those who have submitted their form. A second payment is expected to be made in December. The final deadline to submit your intake form is December 31, 2021.
Failure to submit prior to the final deadline will make you ineligible for both the first AND second distributions.
