Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services Mobile Outreach will be in Hoopa on Highway 96 next to the Coast Central Credit Bank on Wednesday, April 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next to Coast Central Credit Union. Visitors to the bus can be assisted with CalFresh, MediCal, In-Home Supportive Services, Veterans Services and Child Support. Humboldt County Mental Health Clinicians will provide on-board counseling and can link clients up with supportive case management. Dream Quests 5th Annual Swing Concert, Dinner and Dance is on Friday, April 29th from 6-9pm, at the Willow Creek VFW Hall. College of the Redwoods Jazz Orchestra will be playing. You can get your tickets at the door or at Dream Quest, you can give them a call at 629-3564.

Sovereignty, land use, health care and education are a few of the issues that Native American voters are keeping their eyes on during the elections. Senator Bernie Sanders has gone out of his way to meet with tribal leaders and speak up about Native American interests. But is he the right candidate for Indian Country? As the two major parties get ready to formally nominate their presidential candidates we revisit the issues and promises that are important to you.

When it's dark outside-and even darker inside-it's prime time for the Native American Paranormal Project. They're ghost hunters and they lug around cameras, sound recorders and other technical gear to try gather evidence spirits in Native communities for their show, "The Other Side". For this Halloween show, we find out what they're after from spiritual realm and how they tap into their traditional understanding of the afterlife. Do you believe in ghosts?
