Regular Council Meeting

Hoopa Tribal Council Chambers

The Hoopa Valley Tribal Council's regular meeting, held tonight in the Council Chambers, starting at 5:30pm. A few items on the agenda are;

To approve the Hoopa Valley Tribal TANF Program 2013-2016 Plan amendment as submitted. - Leslie C.

To approve Cal-Ore River Racers Association to use Trinity River and beaches and river bars for Hydro-plane boat races, May 13th through May 15th, 2016. -Norvin Hostler

To reaffirm a Council Polling Sheet, approving a resolution and submission for Project Connect. - Jenna Hailey

Orleans Outreach

HCDHHS

Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services Mobile Outreach will be in Orleans at the Post Office on Thursday, April 14th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Visitors to the bus can be assisted with CalFresh, MediCal, In-Home Supportive Services, Veterans Services and Child Support. Humboldt County Mental Health Clinicians will provide on-board counseling and can link clients up with supportive case management. Ribbon Cutting

Timberidge Apartments, Campbell Field Housing Complex

Hoopa Housing Authority will be cutting the ribbon today at 1pm at the new Timberidge Apartments in Campbell Field Housing Complex. You are welcome to attend in the celebration of the completed apartment complex. If you'd like more information call Housing at 625-4759.

KTRCD Community Garden Hoopa, Ca

The Klamath Trinity Resource Conservation District is having their Annual Earth Day today, you can go enjoy garden activities, games, outreach booths and try out the bike blender. Located at the Community garden from 10-2pm today. Questions call Meagan at 530-515-1106.

ASA Bake Sale

Rays Food Place

Come support our local Hoopa 12u ASA Softball Team at their bake sale today! Starting at 11am until sold out. The Bake Sale will be held in front of Rays Food Place with lots of goodies. All proceeds go towards purchasing the team with quality gear and equipment for this upcoming season.

Flea Market

Moore Ranch Farms Hoopa, CA

Moore Ranch Farms Outdoor Flea Market will be held today, Sunday April 24th. Open from 10am-4pm with free admission. If you have items and would like to purchase a booth call Raven Surber at 707-601-6509. A gardening workshop with mushrooms will also be taking place at the farm from 12-2pm.

Caregiver Meeting

CR Hoopa Branch Rm 3

Upriver Caregivers Association Meeting will be held today at the Hoopa College of the Redwoods, Room 3 at 3pm. This meeting is open to all past, present, and future caregivers, foster parents, teachers, medical personnel, ICWA, community members, county worker, and tribal departments, etc. Come offer your ideas and resources, ask questions and more.
