ELDER ABUSE TRAINING

Hoopa Fire Department and Office of Emergency Services offer a training program focused on elder abuse prevention and reporting for our Elders Task Force members, tribal employees, and individual community members. “Protecting Our Sacred” with guest speaker Lisa Rose Sanderson will be held in the Hoopa Fire Department Training Room at the Fire Hall, today from 10:00am. till 12 O’ Clock Noon.
The training covers different types of elder abuse, risk factors and warning signs, prevention strategies, and reporting protocols. you’ll learn how to recognize the signs of elder abuse and neglect, as well as how to respond appropriately to suspected cases. By working together, we can create a safer and more supportive community for out elders.
