Food Distribution

The Hoopa Food Distribution Program is seeking low income families to receive benefits from their program. They offer a wide variety of healthy, nutritional foods and now have a huge variety of fresh produce such as asparagus, broccoli, celery, green cabbage, avocados, peaches, red & green apples, oranges, lemons, cherry tomatoes, fresh corn, baby carrots and kiwi.
To qualify you must live on the reservation or have a member of a federally recognized tribe living in the household. No one in the household can be receiving Calfresh. 551 recipients may now qualify for program benefits. The certification process is quick and takes only about 5 minutes. They offer a 20% earned income deduction, a $400 utility deduction, and a childcare deduction to all who qualify.
