KMC: COVID-19 Vaccinations

K’ima:w Medical Center is following CDC guidelines, widening eligibility as more vaccine becomes available. KMC Frontline workers remain eligible. Please bring your identification.
Other eligible: Ages 18-64 with high-risk medical conditions dependent upon provider recommendation. Please schedule a virtual appointment with your provider if you have questions regarding COVID-19 vaccinations.
If you received a first dose you were given a “reminder card” and are to be scheduled for your second dose roughly 4 weeks after the first dose. The second dose is critical for further “boosting” of immunity. Common side effects after the second dose include fatigue, headache, soreness and other symptoms consistent with an immune system response This actually demonstrates that the vaccine is working to build your immune system to fight a true exposure to COVID-19.
Anyone testing positive for COVID-19 should wait 90 days until vaccination.
