Large Item Dump Day

Caltrans, the Hoopa Valley Tribe, and the Mattress Recycling Council are hosting a free large item Dump Day event in Hoopa today. This Dump Day event is part of Governor Newsom’s $1.2 billion Clean California initiative. Hoopa area residents are invited to properly dispose of their unwanted, bulky items. This is limited to Tires and Mattresses from, Noon – 4 p.m., or until capacity is reached at the Hoopa Transfer Station. You can dispose of passenger car and light truck tires (limit 9 per load) and mattresses (limit 6 per load). No business waste is accepted.
