Today, June 27, 2018 – Live from the Women are Sacred Conference:
Special domestic violence criminal jurisdiction programs allow tribes to prosecute non-Natives for some crimes. In a special live broadcast from the Women Are Sacred conference in Albuquerque, we’ll look at the success of the programs five years after the Violence Against Women’s Act reauthorization. VAWA is up for reauthorization again this year. We’ll also get an overview of the landmark legislation that provides additional protections for Native women.
