A People’s History of the United States, by Howard Zinn
This book was first published in 1987. This edition was updated to include events up to the year 2000. This is one of those books that should be required reading during high school so you know what you most likely are not being taught. Otherwise pick up a copy now. A People’s History tells of the views and experiences of people most of whom were then and still are un-empowered by economic standards of the day.
