In this third part of three Friday Edition programs with Melodie Moore, Spiritual Woman of the Hupa Tribe. We progress to modern history and stories from her family that relate to illnesses and how such were addressed with native Medicine and prayers. She talks about how our current Shelter-in-place order gives us an opportunity to shift our personal and community behaviors to become better focused on what could benefit us all for the good. She sends her thoughts for her students. She shares prayers for better outcomes.
To me I am glad we did this interview. I agree with Melodie the language we use to describe what is happening can open opportunities for better lives for all. The cocooning metaphor that implies we take this time to reform our thinking and methods of planning so we emerge from this situation with renewed energies and better cooperation in all decisions we make.
